Yesterday's surgery went ok, until....
But first, the back story... At my last checkup (12/1) all seemed ok, until I mentioned to the dentist "I have NO pain when eating, hot/cold sensitivity etc, but when I touch my cheek bone, I get pain in a tooth...." (initially he said "well don't touch it, let me get an expat...."
Showed a 'Massive cavity UNDER the gum, and I don't understand how' is what he told me, to which I replied "HOW?' "I just told you I don't understand how' with a rye grin (he he has a wickedly dry humour, and totally understands my fears of dentists...
He told me options, with one being heavy IV sedation in surgery (NO WAY, if I can hear things, I will be feeling things' He agreed)) so we opted for a general anaesthetic option, which was yesterday...
Nice enough hospital, 2nd on the list, went in early, but came out late, much later than planned!!! Ended up being under for 90 minutes which seemed long, and then I found out why… “Surgical Removal Of A Tooth Or Tooth Fragment Requiring Bone Removal And/Or Tooth Division” Thank goodness for the pain meds!!!!
Offered a 'light soft meal' consisting orange Jelly, Custard and an 'Iced Coffee' (think Nescafe with ice cubes)...
Note, my home brewed Iced Mocha made this morning!
So its a rest day today & tomorrow, more soft foods (new flound admiration for scrambled eggs) and no hot drinks...
Hoo roo for now...
