Pelicans are such lovely creatures. I LOVE watching them fly. They have such a unique way of moving through the sky. When we're at the beach - which is the only time we see 'em given that we're from the Great White North - I like to lie back and stare straight up at the sky. They periodically fly back and forth, up and down the beach. Lovely stuff - and this is a lovely capture of one!
Re. your comment on my blog:
"Now, for the next macro shot, and maybe for WW next week, what about a challenge?? If you do a macro of some grass/turf, I will do the same as well?? How about it??"
ME AGAIN: I am so TOTALLY game! Coincidentally, I was shooting landscapes of turf a few weeks ago, trying to coax out some texture. I liked the results, but haven't yet figured out how to tell their story in a blog post. You've motivated me to go back to the scene of the crime and get down and personal with the lawn. Thanks for the inspiration!
I'll post mine as a WW entry, and will watch for yours as well.
This is a good shot...in spite of the poop on the pole. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy WW, thanks for stopping by mine.
I love it. I can almost believe that when the pelican gets up, there will be an egg underneath!
