Last week, when heading down to Woolloomooloo for lunch, I spotted this old car, of which I think is a 'Type 34, Karman Ghia'. The Naval Officer seemed pretty 'chuffed' that I was taking a snap with my iPhone whilst waiting to cross the road!
This is, of course, a return to Thematic Photographic, and this week, has a 'Retro' theme, and I think this car fits the bill nicely. Certainly a distinct departure from the modern cars of today!
Hoo roo for now... ------
I love the color of that car. Great.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely shiny fellow. And the blue matches your blog! lol
ReplyDeleteA beautiful car! very stylish.
ReplyDeleteThat is one model I have never seen!. The color is definitely different! Good choice.
ReplyDeleteOh my- coolest ever...I love it, I want it....what an awesome shade of BLUE- my most favorite color ever!
ReplyDeleteKarman Ghias were such pretty cars! My ex-husband restores them out in Washington state, so I hear.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty car!
ReplyDelete~
Very stylish! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI can't remember ever seeing a retro car on British roads. Vintage/classic car fanatics would be aghast if I called them that. This is my first view of a Karman Ghia - so thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful car - a lot different than the Karmann Ghias that they sold up here. And of course, right hand drive - love that. I've wanted to get a right-hand drive car and put a dummy with it's hands behind it's head in the passenger seat. That would freak out a bunch of people on the road.
ReplyDeletethat is plain beautiful.......
ReplyDeleteThat car is rolling art. I remember Karmann Ghias from my childhood - always loved them because they reminded me of my name - but they were never as pretty as this one. Wow...seriously stunning example of the breed!
ReplyDeleteWanted to thank you for your note on my blog, too. Really appreciated your kindness.
