I'm a lifelong Essendon supporter, but my boyfriend is Hawthorn so we go to most of their matches too. I was absolutely shattered. Sure killed the mood of our party!
Setting aside the Swans win, the 'winner' was actually everyone that watched the game, either at the MCG (like me) or on TV, it was a cracker of a game, especially that last 1/4 when the score changed SO many times... Both teams had so much respect for each other, and it was both comforting and a pleasure to watch, that there was no 'fisty cuffs' throughout the game!
Sorry that the final scoreline set a 'sad mood' for your party though...
